Karen J. Boocher

April 10, 1950 - November 28, 2022

She is clothed in strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. -Proverbs 31:25

Karen J. Boocher, 72, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 2:38 p.m. on Monday, November 28th, 2022.

Born April 10th 1950, in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, Karen was the daughter of Kenneth and Jean (Danielson) Newman. She graduated from Manasquan high school.

Karen had many life adventures, taking her from a childhood on the East coast to California, Texas, and abroad.
She worked for Jersey Central Power and Light in New Jersey and Casteel Construction, as a Secretary, in South Bend, Indiana.
With Indiana as her final landing place, she spent the last 35 years here, enjoying life with her family.

Karen had a warm and caring personality.
All who knew her called her a friend. Throughout the journey of her life, she left behind many gifts including that of a strong work ethic, perseverance, and unconditional love.

Some of her most cherished moments were spent traveling, antiquing, reading, and spending precious time with her grandchildren, family, and friends.

She is survived by her daughter Jennifer (Gray Lawson) Strickland of Plymouth and their children: Sierra and Emma Strickland and Clay and Bo Lawson; her son Marc (Joanna Elder) Stump and their children: Alec and Pheara Stump and Henry Jr., Hayleigh and Ridic Elder; her sister Mary Gerichter of Venice, FL; nephews Michael and Kyle Struthers; and her dear friend, Debbie Matthews.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law Patrick Strickland.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Center for Hospice Care 112 S. Center St. Plymouth IN 46563.
