Karla Sue Bellmer, 60, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at home.
Born on November 19, 1962 in Plymouth, Indiana she was the daughter of Elmo and Virginia (Burden) Phelps. She attended Plymouth High School graduating with the class of 1981. Through mutual friends, Karla met this kind hearted soul Terry and they were married on June 28, 2012 in Columbus, OH.
For numerous years she was a concierge business owner. Karla was a woman that would light a room as soon as she entered it, and never left as a stranger making friends with everyone there. Perhaps one of the most generous, gifting and loving ladies that you would ever meet, often making that extra trip to the store to buy groceries for those that needed it as an anonymous shopper never wanted the attention or recognition.
Karla and Terry loved to travel, almost daily. Just getting in the car and pulling up to a new restaurant, using the valet parking was an adventure. She made her way across 48 states with her business an expediter and taking the scenic route to make it to the final destination. Family was important to her, especially when it came to the “sister weekends.” Karla also was an avid reader, belonging to different reading groups.
Karla was an overcomer through all of trials that she would face. A woman of deep faith that showed her love throughout her life.
She is survived by her husband Terry of Rochester; daughters: Eliana (Drew) Wethey of Johnstown, OH; Stephanie (James) Davolio of Lithopolis, OH; sonsL Mark Bellmer of Sedalia, MO; Joseph (Beth) Bellmer of Lancaster, OH; sisters: Sandy Manuwal of Plymouth; Jackie (David) Wright of Plymouth; brother-in-law Rich Larson of Franklin, OH; 9 grandchildren; as well as several wonderful nieces and nephews. and extended family.
Karla is preceded in death by her parents, sister Vicki Larson and brother-in-law Jim Manuwal.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 11-1 pm at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth. A memorial service will immediately follow with Life Celebrant James Smart officiating.

Oh aunt Susie I don’t know where to begin. Through tears I just just read your obituary, and I am still in disbelief that you are gone. I will always love and miss you, and I have been so blessed to have you in my life. I will miss your amazing sense of humor, but more than anything I will just miss you-and the genuine love you always showed to all of us. Rest in peace-and I am so happy you knew the Lord and I will see you again one day, (and I am especially happy that now you are with grandpa, grandma, aunt Vicki). I will miss you.
Sincerely,
Abby (Manuwal) McIntire

Sympathies to Karla’s loved ones. I’ve always known Karla as a fun-loving girl with a great sense of humor. With parents like Bud and Virginia she had no choice but to be outgoing and loving. Thinking of Terry, Jackie and Sandy at this time.

Vicki and I were friends and school classmates. I loved going the her house, on the farm. I neatest thing ever, was when Karla Sue was born. My friend, had a little baby sister. She was so cute and so much fun to play with. She turned out to be a wonderful woman, with a personality to match.
