Kenneth A. Treesh

April 16, 1915 — January 3, 2001

Kenneth A. Treesh, 85, 11803 Vistula Road, Osceola, Ind., died of natural causes at 11a.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2001, in St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka, Ind.   Kenneth, formerly of the Plymouth area, had lived in Osceola for the past six years coming from Florida where he had resided for twenty years.

Born in Noble County, Indiana, on April 16, 1915, he was the son of Henry Edwin and Augusta Sheidler Treesh.

A soldier in the United States Army during World War II, Kenneth was wounded.  Among other citations, he was awarded the Purple Heart.

On January 17, 1960, in Plymouth, he and Hazel L. Wolfgang were married.

He was a retired worker from Bremen Castings in Bremen.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Hazel, and daughter Glenice J. Bennett, both of Osceola, Ind.  A granddaughter, Karen and her husband Bill Meister and a grandson, Robert D. And Karen Bennett, all of Mishawaka and a sister, Laurene and Devon Biggs, Lafayette, Ind., also survive.

Seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren survive as well.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.

Friends may visit with the family from 11 to 1 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2001, at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, Ind.

Funeral services will follow visitation at 1 p.m. in the funeral home.  The Rev. Charles Krieg, pastor of the Pretty Lake Trinity United Methodist Church will officiate.

Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
