Kevin A. Schultz, 58, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at home. Born on April 30, 1965 in Plymouth, he was the son of Robert and Bernadene (Corey) Schultz.
Kevin was known for having a dynamic and bold personality. He was thoughtful and intentional in his actions. His family remembers him as being fun-loving and being known as someone who lived life as “being easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.”
He loved all things about horses – riding, owning, and just being around them. He had a passion for gardening and particularly had an interest in landscaping. He cared for shrubs and flowers, even delivering a new bouquet of flowers to his mother every two weeks. Kevin also had pride in his home, using his skills to remodel it through the years.
Kevin will be dearly missed by his parents Robert and Bernadene of Plymouth; brother, Steven (Erin) Schultz of Dayton, OH; along with nieces and nephews, Sydney, Jack, and Katie Schultz.
A burial will take place at a later time.
In honor of Kevin’s memory, memorial contributions can be made to Center for the Homeless, 813 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, IN 46601 or to Hope Ministries, PO Box 4488, South Bend, IN 46634.

Kevin was a dear friend to me. From High School and into adult life. He had a beautiful soul. He always carried a heavy burden of worry and love, but most importantly he wanted to be a good human, even when it was really hard or he had lost focus on his mission.
Kevin could save people from themselves, a remarkable talent. Sometimes we wish for the best in everybody and Kevin lived that.
I will love Kevin always. God bless you dear friend.
