Larry Eugene Cudney Sr.

December 21, 1949 - June 30, 2023

Larry Eugene Cudney Sr., 73 of Rochester, Indiana passed away at 8:08 am Friday, June 30, 2023, in Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester.

On December 21, 1949, he was born in Plymouth, Indiana to Earl Welcome and Iris Luella Cudney.  He was united in marriage to Sharon Ann Cudney on November 17, 2006, in Knox, Indiana, who survives.

Larry honorably served our country in the U.S Army during the Vietnam Conflict from 1969 – 1971.  He also worked for Oliver Ford as an auto detailer.  Larry attended Antioch Baptist Church, Rochester and was a member of National Rifle Association, Moose Lodge, Plymouth, American Legion Post #27, Plymouth and The Lions Club, Argos.  He enjoyed fishing, eating, and going to auctions and garage sales.

He is also survived by his son Brian Scott (Shey) Cudney, Valdosta, Georgia; stepson, Tom Solmos, Plymouth; step grandson, Steven Solmos and Haley McMillan, Plymouth; his brother, Bruce Allen (Debbie) Cudney, Granger; one sister, Norma Fish, Plymouth.  He was also survived by his three beloved dogs, Bee, Lexi, and Sugar.  Larry was preceded by his parents, his son, Earl Cudney, two sisters, Velma Burns and Sharon Carson and two brothers-in-law, Raymond Carson, and Don Fish.

Visitation hours will be from 11:00 – 1:00 pm, Thursday, July 6, 2023, in Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 North Michigan Street, Plymouth, Indiana.   A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm        Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Annis Crum officiating.  Burial will follow at new Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.

Memorial contributions may be made in Larry’s honor to Marshall County Humane Society, 11165 13th Rd, Plymouth, IN 46563

    So sorry to read of Larry’s passing. We were close friends during adolescence. Many times we went hunting, and often times with his father Earl and his brother-in-law Don. May he rest in peace.
