Larry A. Oneal, 74, passed away peacefully at home on June 4, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was a wonderful husband, father, stepfather, and Pawpaw.

Born on July 15, 1951, in Shelbyville, Indiana, Larry was the son of Donald and Evelyn (Phillips) Oneal. He graduated from Shelbyville Senior High School with the Class of 1969 and later earned his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Evansville, where he proudly played basketball for the Purple Aces. Larry married Terri Kuhns in April 1977 in New Palestine, IN. She preceded him in death on September 13, 1999. On December 16, 2006, he married Karen Bogunia in Plymouth. Together they shared many happy years volunteering with the Blueberry Festival, going on cruises and just being together.

In the1980’s, Larry owned and operated a bar in Evansville, IN. Larry dedicated 24 years of service to the Indiana Department of Revenue before retiring in 2014. He was known as a man with a generous heart who deeply appreciated every kindness shown to him. Patience was one of his defining qualities, and he freely gave his time to his family, especially his grandchildren.

An enthusiastic supporter of Plymouth athletics, Larry served as an Athletic Booster for Plymouth High School. His biggest love was the Plymouth Girls Basketball team. He enjoyed keeping score for their games, as well as recording boys' and girls' soccer games, track and cross-country meets and wrestling matches. Larry was a volunteer for the Marshall County Blueberry Festival for 25 years. He also was the treasurer for former Plymouth Mayor, Mark Senter.

Larry enjoyed traveling to the Indianapolis 500 and rarely missed an opportunity to follow his favorite teams. He was a devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers, Indiana Hoosiers basketball, and Chicago Cubs baseball. You could always catch him watching Nascar on the weekends.

Before becoming ill, Larry was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Plymouth. Larry found great joy in his family, friends, church, and community.
