
Leona Elaine Webster, 320 E. LaPorte St., Plymouth, an area resident since 1945, died a natural death in Miller’s Merry Manor, Walkerton, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2011.
Leona was born in Morton Grove, Ill., on June 20, 1925, the daughter of George and Emma Brecht Gabel. She attended schools in Morton Grove and Niles, Ill.
On January 20, 1945, in Morton Grove, she and David E. Webster were married. David died on June 8, 1987.
A homemaker, Leona enjoyed crocheting and was an avid card player.
She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
She is survived by three sons: John and Rosemary Webster, Walkerton: Dan Webster, Tell City, Ind. and David and Karen Webster, Argos, Ind.
Four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.
Leona was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, David, and two brothers, Marvin and Warren Gabel and a sister Florence Sibley.
There will be no visitation and family services directed by Rev. Brian Baughman of the Koontz Lake Missionary Church will take place. Burial will be in New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorial gifts in Leona’s name may be made to the Riley Children’s Hospital, 702 Barnhill Drive, Indianapolis, Indiana 46202
