Lily A. Rogan

Lily Ann Rogan, 83, of Mishawaka, Indiana and former Plymouth resident passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family February 18, 2017. Lily was born in Western Springs, Illinois on April 15, 1933 to her parents, George and Eleanor (Chvatal) Heidenreich who preceded her in death. She graduated from Lyons High School in Illinois. Lily worked at McGills until they closed and then retired from Ristance. She was a member of First United Church of Christ in Plymouth, and enjoyed going out to lunch once a month with the ladies from church. Lily wintered in Bartow, Florida where she spent her time with the Red Hat Ladies, square dancing and biking around the community park. She was a very social bird.

Lily loved nature especially her flowers, birds, and squirrels in her backyard. She enjoyed baking and spending time with her family. She was always fond of dancing and music. Everyone enjoyed when she played her organ. She had quiet strength and sweet kindness. She was preceded in death by siblings: George “Deo” Heidenreich, Jim Heiden, Georgia Stuben, Lavern Fedors, and Charlotte Heidenreich.

Lily had a wonderful marriage to Donald Rogan, who preceded her in death, along with her sons, Chester Otto Henriksen and infant James.

Lily is survived by her daughters, Lily (Doug) Myers, Gloria (Dennis) Lamborn, Virginia (Glenn) Goins and her fur baby Mindy. She is survived by 8 grandchildren: Sabrina (Marcus) Hickey, Wesley (Kemberly) Myers, Tiffany (Ola) Sindre, Holly (Andrew) Irwin, Forest Ann (Jonathan) Sherk, Rikeesha (Johnny) DeHart, Fileesha Hyden, and Casey Vermillion. Some of Lily’s greatest joys were her 13 great grandchildren: Ian Hickey, Alexander Hickey, Aaron Hickey, Carter Myers, Khloe Myers, Cadien Myers, Kylah Myers, Theodore Sindre, Frederick Sindre, Victoria Orr, Olivia Orr, Annabelle Sherk,and Ellianna Hyden. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, Plymouth.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in the funeral home with Rev. Charles Krieg officiating.

Burial will be in the New Oak Hill Cemetery.
