Linda Suter-Piper

December 17, 1949 — August 18, 2025

Plymouth

Linda Suter-Piper, 75, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 18, 2025 in her home. She was born on December 17, 1949 in Lake Village, Arkansas to Timothy John and Martha Sue (Abernathy) Burgess.

Linda graduated from Bremen High School and went on to pursue further education at IUSB, earning her associate's degree. Linda married Charles Suter on November 13, 1976 and she worked as a homemaker, lovingly raising their daughters, Christina and Amanda. When Linda became a grandmother and great-grandmother, she cherished every moment of watching her family grow. Charles would precede her in death on March 16, 1999.

Putting her nurturing heart to work, Linda enjoyed working with HeadStart and Marshall-Starke for over 27 years. Linda went on to marry Gene Lee Piper on October 5, 2002. They happily blended their families together, combining the best of both of their lives into one.

A lover of all things sparkly, Linda relished finding her next favorite piece of jewelry. She was an avid collector of antiques and Depression Glass; hobbies that she enjoyed throughout her life. Those who knew Linda knew that she was a fan of Harry Potter and the Hallmark Channel; especially watching Christmas movies with her family.

Linda will be remembered by her honesty and integrity; never leaving it in question where she stood in a situation. She quickly gained the respect of her friends for her loving and steadfast beliefs.

Linda is survived by her husband, Gene; children, Christina (Mark) Miller, Amanda Suter, Wills, Chris (Amy) Beller, and Brandon (Alex) Beller; grandchildren, Jessica, LeaAnne, Emily, Charlotte, Gibson, Chloe, Caydan, and Emily; great-grandchildren, Noah, Grace, Elijah, Jeremiah, and Lachlan; along with nieces and nephews, Lisa (Kevin) Dearman and Timothy Burgess.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Timothy and Martha; and siblings, Billy, Robert, John, And Beverly.

A private graveside service will be held at Oakhill Cemetery in Plymouth.
