Lois E. Bowman, 94, passed away at 12:21 a.m. on Saturday January 19, 2019 at her home in Noblesville, IN. Born in Plymouth, IN on March 14, 1924, Lois was the daughter of the late Rayburn and Mary (Kring) South. Lois graduated from Plymouth High School in 1942. She was an active community member and was part of the VFW Post 1162 Ladies Auxiliary, a dedicated Red Cross Volunteer who was on the board of the Disaster Team and volunteered her time with the Bloodmobile. On August 19,1977 in Plymouth, Lois married Clayton Bowman. She worked at Mecks and Wagner Wire, and was the first female to work for the Post Office in Plymouth, Indiana. Lois was a seamstress and did quilting and needlework, as well as crocheting. She was a collector of antiques and depression glass.

Lois is survived by her children, Daniel H. (Rebecca) Bollinger III of West Lafayette, IN, David A Bollinger of South Bend, IN, Elizabeth (Charles) A Braun of Indianapolis, IN, Jon L Bollinger of Indianapolis, IN, Lisa L Bollinger of Noblesville, IN; daughter-in-laws Judy Blubaugh of Warsaw, IN and Marilee Blubaugh of Georgetown, TX; step children, Jerry (Nancy) Bowman of Plymouth, IN, Patricia (Dale) Leech of Plymouth, IN, and Lynn (Michael) Dickson, 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. She was predeceased by her parents, son Tim Lee Blubaugh, son Terry Lynn Blubaugh, grandson Robert Lee “Rob” Blubaugh, and brother Harold South. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home at 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth with Rev Charles Krieg. Visitation will be on Friday January 25, 2019 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
