Lorena R. Snyder, 80, a Plymouth resident all of her life, passed away at 3:40 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the IU Health LaPorte Hospital, LaPorte. Lorena Rose Snyder was born in Plymouth, on November 6, 1932 to Earl and Lorena Ethel (Shafer) Lee. She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1952. While in high school, Lorena worked for JC Penny. After graduating, she worked for Lord’s Bakery for a period of time. On September 22, 1956, in Rev. Colson’s parsonage in Plymouth, Lorena R. Lee married Roy L. Snyder. Lorena worked as a janitor for the Sunrise Chapel until 1985. She enjoyed gardening and loved being with her grandchildren. Lorena loved hummingbirds and looked forward to spring every year.

She is survived by her sons: Lyle (Karen) Snyder of Hendersonville, TN, Gail (Nora) Snyder of Bremen, and Neal Snyder of Union Mills, IN; four grandchildren: Nathaniel, Amanda, Alyssa and Matthew, all of Bremen; and her sister, June Martin of Elkhart and many nieces and nephews.

Lorena was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, sisters: Laura Robinson, Helen Bunch and Janice Lee and an infant brother Charles Raymond Lee.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2013 at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, with Rev. John Perkinson officiating. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.

Burial will be in the New Oakhill Cemetery.
