Margaret R. Barenie, 86, passed away at her Plymouth residence, Tuesday, November 8, 2016.

Margaret was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 28, 1930 to Walter and Mary (Murphy) Carver.

Margaret married Kenneth S. Barenie on May 7, 1949 in Black Oak, Indiana. Their union of marriage created a family tree with two sons and two daughters.

Marge worked in the bakery at the Convent Ancilla Domini, Donaldson, for fifteen years. She was a member of St. Dominic Mission Catholic Church at Koontz Lake. Margaret loved square dancing. She and Kenneth had traveled all over the United States. The couple had spent twenty winters in southern Texas.

Marge is survived by her four children; Daniel K. (Gloria) Barenie of Berrien Springs, Michigan, Linda T. Barenie, Kathleen (Rex) Gilliland, and Thomas J. Barenie all of Plymouth. Also surviving are her eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and a brother; Walter Carver of Westminister, California.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister; Anna Mae Babitt.

Friends may visit with the family from 3-7 PM Sunday, November 13, 2016 in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 North Michigan Street, Plymouth. A Rosary will be recited at 6:45 PM in the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at the Ancilla Domini Chapel, 9601 Union Road, Donaldson, at 11:00 AM Monday, November 14, 2016 with Fr. Anthony Spanley officiating. Calling will continue in the Chapel after 10:00 AM on Monday. Burial will follow in the New Oak Hill Cemetery.
