Marvin “Mike” Ringle

August 31, 1918 — January 14, 2008

Marvin E. “Mike” Ringle, 89, a lifetime Plymouth area resident, died of natural causes in the Catherine Kasper Life Center, Donaldson, at 6:20 p.m. on Monday, January 14, 2008.

Mike was the son of Frank E. and Eldora P. Elkins Ringle. He was born in Plymouth on August 31, 1918.

He attended Plymouth schools.

On November 20, 1939, in Plymouth, Mike and Wilma E. Shelton were married. Wilma died on September 1, 1987.

He first drove truck for Warsaw Trucking for about 10 years and then was a driver for the State Highway Dept. for 13 years, retiring at the age of 65.

An outdoorsman, he loved fishing, hunting and mushrooming. He liked to travel and hunted in Michigan, traveled in California and wintered in Florida.

Mike is survived by three daughters. They are Marla A. Keefer, Rochester, Indiana: Sandra Bornes, Warsaw, Indiana, and Janeal (Terry) Youngman, Frankton, Indiana.

Thirteen grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren also survive together with a brother, Wendell (Carol) Ringle of Rochester, Indiana.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers, Francis and Ray Ringle; four sisters: Dorothy Lee, Gene Andrews, Louise Casper and Phyllis Lyons; and two grandsons, Kevin Condon and David Bornes.

Friends are invited to celebrate the life of Mike Ringle with his family on Thursday, January 17, 2008, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.

Funeral services for Mike will be at 3:00 p.m.on Thursday, January 17, 2008, in the funeral home. The Rev. John Branch of the Plymouth Wesleyan Church, will officiate.

Burial will be in New Oakhill Cemetery.

Memorial gifts in Mike’s name may be to a charity of the donor’s choice.
