Mary Ellen Taylor

Mary Ellen Taylor, 93, 11763 S.R. 17, Plymouth, died on August 5, 2010, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth.
She was born to Joseph and Sarah Creasy Warner on January 24, 1917 in Risk, Illinois. Mary had spent most of her life in Plymouth. She was married to her husband, Richard, on December 14, 1940, in Plymouth.
She had been employed by Allied Seed in Plymouth and by Ball Band in Mishawaka.
She enjoyed watching the birds and playing with her dogs. She grew beautiful flowers and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her husband, Richard E. Taylor, Sr., and by their daughter, Beverly J. and Joda J. Hoeffler, Plymouth and their sons Thomas E. and Janet R. Taylor, Plymouth and Richard E. and Julie Taylor, Jr., Nappanee.
Five grandchildren and one great-grandchild survives as well. Two sisters, Helen Orr and Jeannie Thompson, Plymouth, also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers: Charles, Joseph, Edward, Ennis and Paul. Four sisters have also died: Pearl, Mae, Margaret and Josephine.
Friends are invited to meet with Mary Ellen’s family on Monday, August 9, 2010 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. in the funeral home, following visitation. The Rev. Charles Krieg will officiate. Burial will be in New Oakhill Cemetery.
Memorial gifts in Mary Ellen’s name may be made to the Marshall County Humane Society 11165 13th Road Plymouth, Indiana 46563.
