Mary Maxine Myers

Mary Maxine Myers, 90, passed away in her home, surrounded by loving family, on Tuesday, January 1, 2019. Lifetime resident, Maxine was born in Plymouth, Indiana on December 26, 1928 to Lewis Fredrick and Pearl Rosella (Knepper) Marsh. She graduated from Plymouth High School with the class of 1946.

On May 15, 1951 in Plymouth, Maxine became the bride of John Edward Myers. The couple would have two boys, Douglass and Todd.

She was a loving and caring housewife. But she also worked at United Telephone for 9 years and then Local Finance for 8 years.

Maxine was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, taking part in being a braille worker. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, sewing and knotting and making her own greeting cards.

She is survived by her sons, Doug (Lily) Myers of Plymouth and Todd (Toni) Myers of Granger; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Sabrina (Marcus) Hickey and children Ian, Alex and Aaron, Wesley (Kem) Myers and children Carter, Khloe, Cadien and Kylah, and Tiffany (Ola) Sindre and children Teddy and Freddy; nephews, Ron (Barb) Taylor and family and Jerry (deceased) and Pam Taylor and family.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, John in 2017, her parents, and sisters, Betty L. Willits and Edna Pearl Taylor.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church, 1314 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, with Rev. Eric Ahlemeyer officiating. Visitation will resume one hour prior in the church.

Burial will follow in the New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.
