Melonie Heffner

May 16, 1949 - June 2, 2004

Melonie K. Heffner, 55 of 621 Pennsylvania Ave. (formerly of Bremen) died Wednesday, June 2, 2004 in her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on May 16, 1949 to Tharon K. and Roma E. Renner Heffner in Kendallville, Indiana
Melonie was a 1967 graduate of Ligonier High School. She was the former co-owner of Mrs. T’s Bakery in Bremen. She was very active in the Bremen Missionary Church and a member of the Goshen VFW Auxiliary Post #30, Goshen, Indiana
She enjoyed spending time with her family, working in her yard and cross-stitching.
Melonie is survived by her mother and two sons and their wives, Steven (Torie) Taylor, Plymouth, and Sgt. Jason (Belinda) Thrams, Nappanee, Indiana. A brother Brent (Mary K.) Heffner, Edwardsburg, MI, also survive her.
She was preceded in death by her father, and a sister, Twila Cox.
Friends will be welcomed by the family to visit and share memories on Tuesday June 8, 2004 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Bremen Missionary Church, 2598 Elm Road Bremen Funeral service for Melonie will be held at 6:00 p.m. on June 8, 2004 in the Church with Pastor Gary Hinkle officiating.
Memorial contributions in Melonie’s memory may be directed to the family.
