Michael A. Eyrich

Michael A. Eyrich, 73, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at home surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on January 26, 1950 in Bourbon, Indiana he was the son of Milton and Shirley Ann (Ferris) Eyrich.

He attended Plymouth High School graduating with the class of 1968. In 1992 Michael and Mishelle were married in Plymouth and they would share 31 years of marriage together. Known for the work that he could do with his hands, Michael worked construction for most of his life. Everything from decks, fences, concrete and steel buildings, there isn’t anything he couldn’t do with his hands.

Michael was a free spirit, simple man, also someone who was well put together, that could be a little outspoken at times. However, he had a soft spot for those who knew him well and was known as a fuzzy bear on the inside.  He was a creative man that had a vision to see a masterpiece before it was created or built. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his Harley’s. Michael had a love for sport’s as well, from playing and coaching fastpitch softball to watching basketball, football and Nascar.

He belonged to Abate, the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge, 741 and to the Plymouth American Legion Post #27.

He is survived by his father Milton of Plymouth; wife Mishelle of Plymouth; children: Monica (Brad) Parkhurst of Plymouth; Michael Chad Thomas (Rachael) Eyrich of Ft. Wayne; Mark Allen Neal Eyrich of Georgia; sister Susan (Tom) Breeden of Plymouth; grandchildren: Thomas Evan (Emily) Parkhurst, Alex Parkhurst, Celia Eyrich, Gianna Eyrich, Oliver Eyrich and Urban Eyrich.

Michael is preceded in death by his mother Shirley Ann.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 5-7 pm at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth.
