Mojeska A. Ellis

February 10, 1903 — May 3, 2000

Mojeska Ellis, 97,  15013 Happy Trails, a resident of Plymouth, coming from Argos in 1969, has died.  Mojeska died of natural causes on Wednesday, May 3, 2000, at 1:50 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.

Born in Rochester, Ind., on February 10, 1903, Mojeska was the daughter of Dr. Loy L. and Lucille Clemens Anderson.  She graduated from Argos High School and the Ft. Wayne Business College.

On December 25, 1921, she married Roy H. Miller in Argos.  Roy died in 1955.  On October 9, 1959, in Granger, Ind., Mojeska married Mace B. Ellis.  Mace died in 1967.

In the 1940’s, Mojeska worked at the Kingsbury Ordnance Plant.  For many years afterward, she was a sales clerk with the Plymouth J.C. Penny Co., in the dress department.

A homemaker, she enjoyed traveling and was talented in fancy hand work.

She had attended the Gospel Center in South Bend and was a member of the Sunrise Chapel of Plymouth.  She was Past Matron and a former member of the Argos Order of the Eastern Star.

Mojeska is survived by Melba Jane and Dale Kreighbaum, her daughter, who lives in Plymouth, and Norman L. Miller, a son, of Port Washington, Wis.  A daughter-in-law, Connie Miller of Egan, Minn., six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three step-grandchildren also survive together with Nancy Jane Ellis, a step-daughter, in California.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouses, and an infant grandchild, Roy Miller.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 5, 2000, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, May 6, 2000, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home.  Pastor Rustin Krapfl of the Sunrise Chapel and the Rev. Robert Byler retired pastor, will officiate.

Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos.
