
Molly J. Bailey, 80, passed away at We Belong Senior Home of Plymouth on Thursday February 25, 2021.
Lifetime Plymouth resident, Molly was born on December 19, 1940 to James Edward “Red” and Violet Geneva “Bob” (Fear) Elliott. She attended Plymouth schools.
On January 2, 1960 in Plymouth, Molly married James W. Bailey. He would proceed her in death in 1988.
Molly worked for Leer Corporation until her retirement in 2006. Afterwards, she worked part-time for Shortt’s Liquor Store in Argos and North Liberty.
She enjoyed country music, attending musicals and the B100 Birthday Bashes at the fairgrounds. She was an avid reader and enjoyed day trips with her girlfriends. Anyone knew that if Molly was not home, she was probably at Walmart. She also attended the North Salem Church of God in Plymouth,
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy (Tim) Ousnamer, and son, James E. Bailey, both of Plymouth; grandchildren: Stephanie (Jesse) Arriaga, James W. Bailey and TJ (Morgan Hite) Ousnamer; great-grandchildren: Carston, Ashon and Roxy Ousnamer; and sister, Susan Elliott Hill.
Molly was preceded in death by her husband Jim; her parents; and her siblings, Roxanne Croy and Dennis Elliott.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 3, 2021 at 2 p.m. in the New Oak Hill Cemetery Chapel, 1300 Chester Street, Plymouth. Friends are welcome from 1:30 until the start of the service.
Burial will follow in the New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.
