My husband and I were neighbors of Opal and Everett for several years before he passed and visited with them frequently. We always said they made our marriage even happier just by having them as an example. We were still in the neighborhood after and continued to visit with Opal. We just loved Opal so much and we loved her wit and she loved to give my husband a hard time and it was mutual.😊 When my husband passed away 3 1/2 years ago she was a great source of comfort to me. I left Westview Ct a year later but continued to stay in touch by phone and several times stopped by the house. I am so thankful I got to see Opal 2 Times this past Summer even though it was brief. Rest In Peace dear Opal, you definitely made the world a better place with your kindness and your wonderful sense of humor. I was planning to call the facility this Monday and see what I had to do to see her but obviously that was not to be. A very special person that will be greatly missed. I am honored that I got to know her and call her friend. My condolences to her nieces and nephews that I know she loved very much.
