Pat Barnhart

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be remembered. It has pleased Almighty God to call Pat Ready Barnhart, 86, of Plymouth, IN, home. Pat passed away peacefully at We Belong Senior Home on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. Pat was born June 26, 1939, in South Bend, IN, to Marge Bruce and Edwin Pete Woltman, both preceding her in death, along with Step-Dad, Doug Bruce. She moved to Lake of the Woods in 1972, where she raised her family, later moving to Bremen.

Pat’s life and career were centered around helping both kids and adults. She spent most of her life teaching and coaching swimming, driving a school bus, and running the Bremen outdoor pool. She also worked part-time for Jostens Ring Company. Pat worked and volunteered for the Red Cross and received her 50-year accommodation. Pat loved being a part of the Holy Walk in Bremen every December. After Pat retired, she taught water aerobics at Bremen High School and Life Plex in Plymouth. She became a Hospice volunteer after the passing of her husband, Tompkins Barnhart. Pat was a long-time member of Salem United Methodist Church (Bremen United Methodist), Bremen, IN, where she and Tom were youth group leaders and Sunday school teachers. Pat also enjoyed sewing.

Pat is also preceded in death by her daughter Kathy Reierson Reaker, brother James Woltman and his wife Judie, and her brother Tom Woltman.

She is survived by her sister, Nancy Williams of Michigan City; son Jon (Sue) Ready of Sun City, AZ; daughter Janey (Don) Green of Plymouth; grandchildren: Chad (Ashley) Green of Plymouth; Jessica Reirerson of Bremen; Will Reierson of Palestine, TX; Patrick (Sam) Green of Bremen; Jenna (Bean) Reierson of Palestine, TX; great-grandchildren: Mady Clarkson, Kassidy and Deluca Green.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 2-4 pm at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN 46563. Funeral services will immediately follow with Pastor Rich Van Vuren officiating.

Burial will take place at Bremen Cemetery at a later date.
