Patricia M. Yoder

January 26, 1922 - July 3, 2016

Patricia M. Yoder, 94, of Plymouth, passed away in the We Belong Senior Home at 4:45 AM Sunday, July 3, 2016. She was born January 26, 1922 in Plymouth, to the late Christian A. and Myrtle Ella (Schwenk) Hartman. Pat attended the Plymouth Schools.
On July 9, 1939, in Davenport, Iowa, Pat married Newell W. Yoder; they spent sixty-three years together before his passing on August 10, 2002.
Pat was a secretary for the Marshall County Probation Department for fourteen years, retiring in 1987. Prior she was Dr. Reed and Dr. Coursey’s secretary for fifteen years.
Pat enjoyed watching birds, playing bridge and loved planting flowers and taking care of them. Surviving are her children; Stephen K. and Marcia Yoder, Sarasota, Florida, Jeffrey L. Yoder, Leesburg, Florida, Phillip A. Yoder, Plymouth, James N. and Betty Yoder, Bremen, Kristy K. and Louis Spaid, Wheatland, Wyoming, and Nickie A. and Dennis Weidner, Plymouth. Also surviving are nineteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and three sisters.
Friends are invited to celebrate Pat’s life and share in her memory at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 North Michigan Street, Plymouth, from 2 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2016.
A memorial service will be held on that afternoon at 3 p.m., following visitation at the funeral home. Linda Starr, a friend of the family will officiate. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorial gifts may be made in Pat’s memory to either the Center for Hospice Care, 112 South Center Street, Suite #C, Plymouth, Indiana 46563 or the Marshall County Humane Society, 11165 13th Road, Plymouth, Indiana 46563.
