Patsy Lu Fretz

Patsy Lu “Patty” Fretz, 67, a lifetime area resident, living at 308 E. Plum St., in Argos, Indiana, died of natural causes at 6:22 a.m. on Friday, May 5, 2006, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.

Patty was born in Argos on August 30, 1938. She was the daughter of Robert E. and Flossie I. Yeazel Denney. She graduated from Argos High School.

She was married to Robert P. Fretz. She loved her family and was a devoted mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren.

Patty first worked as a waitress for the renowned Grandma’s Kitchen in Argos before becoming a packer for the Ristance Company, then Standard Motors in South Bend. Patty is survived by two daughters and three sons. Her daughters are Loretta and her husband, Jerry Roush, Argos, and Joddy Kreft, Elkhart, Indiana.

Her sons are Paul Fretz and his wife, Mary of Rice Lake, Wisconsin; Bobby Fretz, Syracuse, Indiana; and Harold and Nancy Fretz, Tippecanoe, Indiana.

Nine grandchildren also survive together with two brothers, Gerald “Tony” and Susie Denney, Argos, and Roger D. and Pam Denney, Plymouth. A sister-in-law, Beth Denney, of New Haven, Indiana, survives as well.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Guy Anthony Jacobson and a brother, David B. Denney.

Friends will be welcomed by Patty’s family on Sunday, May 7, 2006, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.

Funeral services for Patty will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 8, 2006, in the funeral home. Pastor Brian Trump of the Argos Wesleyan Church, will officiate.

Burial will be in New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
