Paula Joette Swisher

Paula Joette Swisher, 75, passed away on December 27, 2025 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. Born in Plymouth on November 15, 1950, Paula was the daughter of Richard and DesNeiges (Klapp) Swisher.

Paula spent her childhood growing up in Plymouth attending school and church at St. Michael Catholic Church. She dedicated over forty years working at area hospitals as their switchboard operator. Paula held a private life, but those who knew her will remember her various crafts, painting, and sewing that she enjoyed so much.

Paula is survived by her children, Sharon (James) Heflin and William Brassell; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Pam Kennedy and Patrice McLemore; along her nieces, Angie and her daughter, Taliyah Lintz and Zoey Swisher. She will also be sorely missed by her best friend for over 20 years, Samuel Taberski.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and DesNeigesin addition to one sister, Peri Nelson; granddaughter, Marni Wilder; and her nephew, Daniel McLemore.

Paula will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plymouth.
