Pedro G. Vasquez Jr.

August 3, 1969 - August 21, 2016

Pedro G. Vasquez, Jr, 47, of Plymouth, Indiana, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday morning, August 21, 2016. Pedro was born August 3, 1969 at Parkview Hospital in Plymouth to the late Pedro G. Vasquez and Guadalupe (Ramirez) Vasquez. Pedro graduated from Plymouth High School with the Class of 1988. He had also completed course studies at Ancilla College in Donaldson, Indiana.
He was employed at the Marshall County Highway Department as an Area Leader for the past 18 years.
Pedro had strong faith and was a member of Word of Truth Ministries Church in Plymouth. He was a passionate man who loved his church, family and friends unconditionally.
He was known for his gentle nature, infectious smile and boisterous personality. He loved Plymouth Rockies, Notre Dame and Chicago Bears football and riding his Harley. He was a member of ABATE of Indiana and on the Board of Directors of Plymouth Youth Softball League.
On August 13, 2016, Pedro married his longtime love, Daphne Stapleton, who survives, along with their children, Vicente Vasquez, Peyton Vasquez, Ricky Elm and Jillian Smith. Also surviving are his sisters, Anastacia Moreno, Edmatelinda Vasquez, Iris Vasquez, Patricia (Larry) Countz, and brothers, Johney (Graciela) Vasquez, Edward (Pamela) Vasquez, Jesse Vasquez, Abel (Mandy) Vasquez, 30 nieces and nephews, 49 great-nieces and nephews, and 5 great-great-nieces and nephews, and countless friends. His dear in-laws, Vida and Don Creed and Jack Stapleton survive as well.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the Plymouth Community and the Marshall County Highway Department for all their love and support.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 24th, from 5-8 p.m. at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 25th with 1 hour visitation prior, at the First United Methodist Church, 400 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. Pastor Jim Calhoun assisted by Rev. Mark Cottrill will officiate.
Burial will follow in the New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorial contributions in memory of Pedro may be made to the family.
