Phyllis I. (Good) Neiswender, 90, passed away on January 12, 2021 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Walkerton.
Born on October 3, 1930 in Walkerton, Indiana she was the daughter of Charles and Vera (Topel) Good.
Phyllis graduated from Walkerton High School May 27, 1949. On April 8, 1950 she married the love of her life Allen (Tom) Neiswender who preceded her in death on May 22, 1998.
She retired from Wirecraft/Easy Heat in Lakeville in 1991. She had an amazing talent for crochet, making everything from Christmas ornaments to blankets. She was also a great seamstress and quilter. Her knowledge of the Walkerton area and the people who lived there was amazing. Anytime someone had a question about the past and what was a name or who lived where, she always remembered. Every visit with Phyllis was a history lesson.
Left to cherish her memory are her sister in laws, many nieces, nephews and cousins. We will miss her.
Beside her husband Allen (Tom) Neiswender Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, brother Raymond Good and lifelong friend Violet Spaid.
The family would like to thank everyone and all of the caregivers at Miller’s Merry Manor in Walkerton, and to Harbor Light Hospice.
Visitation will be held on Monday January 18, 2021 from 11-12 p.m. at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St. Plymouth, IN 46563. The funeral service will immediately follow with Chaplain John Schrock officiating.
Burial will be in the New Oak Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be given to the American Cancer, 5635 W 96th St Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278.
