Rachael Aimee Pearson, 13, the beloved daughter of Timothy D. and Barbara
Craycraft Pearson, loved the Lord and loved running.
Rachael ran into the arms of her Savior, entering into eternal life, at 7:30 p.m., on, Friday, June 2, 2000, following an accident at her home, 23735 Tyler Road, Lakeville.
Born in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, on November 28, 1986, Rachael moved with her family to Lakeville from Plymouth five years ago. She had completed the 7th grade at LaVille Junior-Senior High School.
She accomplished much in her young life. A high academic achiever, especially in math and science, she was a talented and versatile young woman. She could run like the wind. She participated in school track and field events, excelling in high jump, the mile run and cross country. She was on the basketball team and played the French horn in the band.
In the Marshall County 4-H Club, Junior Jolly Boosters she competed in Cake Decorating and was a Grand Champion in Latch Hook.
Baptized May 1999, Rachael was a member of the Pine Creek Church of the Brethren. She attended the Junior High Sunday School class and helped with Bible School, child care and many other church functions. Quick with a smile her presence will be missed.
Rachael is survived by her parents, her twin sister, Amanda Renee, and a brother, Lucas Dean Pearson, a third grade student, all at home in Lakeville.
Paternal grandparents, Jack and Beverly Pearson, Plymouth, survive also, together with Mae Twaddle, Rachael’s paternal great-grandmother in Bourbon.
Bob and Doris Craycraft, Plymouth, maternal grandparents survive as well together with several aunts and uncles. They are: Bruce and Barbara A. Pearson and cousins Kristen and April, all of Argos, Tammie and Ted Gangloff, Plymouth, Bob and Vicki Craycraft, Cincinnati, Ohio and Dorothy and Gary Franklin and cousin Cory, of Anchorage, Alaska.
Rachael was preceded in death by her paternal great-grandfather, Robert Orville Anders and her paternal great-grandparents, Amos Pearson and Ruth Winters. Miller and Florence Wilson, and Oliver and Julia Craycraft, maternal great-grandparents also have died.
Friends may come to celebrate the endearing life of Rachael on Tuesday, June 6, 2000, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Johnson – Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Services will be held on Wednesday, June 7
th
, at 10:30 a.m. with calling one hour prior in the Pine Creek Church, 69531 Pine Rd., North Liberty, Ind. Pastor Norman Replogle of the Pine Creek Church of the Brethren, will officiate.
Burial will be in Fair Cemetery, North Liberty.
