Rachel E. Fawley

July 31, 1990 — May 24, 2002

Eleven-year old Rachel Elizabeth Fawley, died from severe complications of chicken pox at 2:02 a.m. on Friday, May 24, 2002 in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. She was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by her family and her many friends. Born on July 31, 1990, in Plymouth, Rachel was the daughter of Matthew R. Fawley of Bremen and Amy B. Streets of Grovertown. She was an honor-roll student in the 5th grade at Oregon Davis Elementary. She loved playing sports, being outdoors, drawing and animals of all kinds. Rachel is survived by her mother and stepfather, Amy B. and Steve J. Streets, Grovertown: her father and stepmother, Matthew R. and Kristine A. Fawley, Bremen. A sister, Ashley Nicole Fawley, also survives along with several stepsisters and brothers. They are: Tia Strang, Jennifer Keller, Deanna Streets and Stephen Streets. A nephew Cole Dowd also survives. Her maternal grandparents, Howard and Dorothy White, Plymouth, survive as well as paternal grandparents, Robert Fawley, Knox, Ind., and Sue Hart, Louisville, KY. Also surviving are maternal step-grandparents, Calvin and Semmie Kruder, Culver, and paternal step-grandparents, Larry and Shelia Shivers, Orlando, Fla. Numerous other family members: aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive. Visitation will be on Sunday, May 26, 2002, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. Funeral services for Rachel will be held in the funeral home, at 10 a.m., on Monday, May 27, 2002. The Rev. Charles Krieg, pastor of the Pretty Lake Trinity United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in New Oakhill Cemetery. Preferred are memorial gifts to Rachel’s Medical Assistance Fund, c/o the funeral home.
