
Raymon C. Eckman, 92, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at home surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on July 26, 1930 in Culver, Indiana to Art and Lilly (Heinterlach) Eckman. He attended Culver High School graduating with the class of 1949.
Raymon proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy. He was a certified plumber and owned his own business for most of his life. Raymon was such a giving man that he would never charge a senior citizen for his work. Raymon also owned and operated a Skin-Diving shop.
He enjoyed dancing, playing baseball, softball and skeet shooting. Raymon also umpired many games throughout his life.
He belonged to the Plymouth Am. Legion Post #27, Veterans of Foreign War and Phi Delta Kappa
He is survived by his children: Aaron (Deborah) Eckman; Sonjia Eckman-Martin; Raymon (Susie) Eckman; Brian (Cynthia) Eckman; Jeff (Dawn) Tucker; 28 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren
Raymon is preceded in death by his parents.
Military honors will take place at a later date.

Aaron and families: Dusty was one of a kind, and universally respected as an honest and fair tradesman with superior skills. He was always friendly and jovial when I was fortunate to cross paths. He was a joy to be around. We need more, far more Dusty’s in our lives and communities. You can be proud of a life well lived.

We are so very sorry to find Dusty passed. Dan has known him since Dan was a kid. Dusty helped us with our boiler heat when we first became neighbors. Dan and Dusty drove semis for Jedi to California and Canada, and he has so many memories.
