Richard E. Stoneburner, 89, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at home.
Born on November 27, 1933 in South Bend, Indiana he was the son of Henry and Mildred (Niblick) Stoneburner.
He attended Tyner High School graduating with the class of 1952. On February 2, 1979 he married Carol in Elkhart, she preceded him in death on September 6, 2018.
Richard worked for South Bend Medical Foundation for 20 years as an Engineering Supervisor before retiring on April 1, 2000.
He is survived by his first wife and friend Shirley Krull; daughters: Kathryn (Lorie) Keck; Karen Brewer; step-son Michael Kowatch; brother Robert (Linda) Stoneburner of Plymouth; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, His second wife Carol, son TSGT. Michael Stoneburner, daughter Lisa Kay Stoneburner, step-son Bob Kowatch and brother Henry Stoneburner Jr.
Per the wishes of the family a private burial will take place at a late date.
