Richard H. Olson

February 28, 1940 - November 29, 2015

Richard H. Olson, 75, Plymouth resident since 1983, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 29, 2015 in his home surrounded by his family.
Richard was born February 28, 1940 in Princeton, Minnesota, to the late Clifford and Edna (Hoeft) Olson. He graduated from Princeton High School in 1958. After graduating, he married Margaret M. Bullis on July 18, 1958 in Princeton, Minnesota; she preceded him in death on March 23, 2008. Richard retired in 2010 after thirty-four years from Standard Motor Products, where he was a manager. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing. Surviving are his four children; Lisa and Timothy Miller, Plymouth, Kristi and Kevin Schmidt, Lake Mills, Wisconsin, Steve and Kathleen Olson, Indianapolis, Kari and Joseph Englert, Cincinnati, Ohio. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Memorial services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM, December 4, 2015 in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the New Oakhill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Center for Hospice & Palliative Care, 112 South Center Street # C, Plymouth, IN 46563, Boys & Girls Club of Plymouth, 314 E Jefferson St, Plymouth, IN 46563, or the Marshall County Humane Society, 11165 13th Rd, Plymouth, IN 46563.
