R. Lynn Couch

January 5, 1967 - January 21, 2022

Lynn Couch, 55, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Ft. Wayne. Born on January 5, 1967 in Plymouth, Indiana he was the son of Robert Couch and Vicki Smith Begley.

Lynn graduated Argos High School in 1985.  He has worked in manufacturing since, Lobdell-Emery in Argos, Bomarko in Plymouth and Lake City Heat Treating in Warsaw.

In 1992 he moved in with Missy Hurford.  They were married on October 24, 2003 in Pigeon Forge, TN with 24 family and friends to witness.  Then came back to Indiana to have a Halloween theme reception for all the family and friends.

Lynn was a very hard worker, but his favorite things were vacations, playing golf with friends and watching the Cubs, no matter how bad they were playing and loved to fish.

Lynn was loved by many friends and family.  He was the first to say he was weird and that is why everyone loved him so much, he was just himself.

He is survived by his father Bob of Whitestown, IN; wife Missy of Argos; sister Tami (Curt) Austin of Whitestown, IN; nephews: Aaron Hurford of Walkerton; Austin Hurford of Plymouth; Mileke Austin of Anderson, IN; Keenan Austin of Whitestown, IN.

Lynn is preceded in death by his mother Vicki.

Per the wishes of the family a celebration of life will be held on a later date.

Memorial contributions can be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Missy/Tami, I am so sorry for your loss. Lynn will never be forgotten. Still remember all the crazy times. That bright blue mustang (that he ALWAYS drove the speed limit in). Fly high Tator!

Missy and family, I am so sorry to hear of Lynn’s passing. I got to meet Lynn when he and his friends golfed in the outings we had for the Marshall Co. HUMANE Society. Always smiling when he was golfing. You and your family are in my prayers. Rest in peace Lynn.

Don and I were so shocked to hear of Lynn’s passing. He was definitely one of the good guys. At Tri-Way Golf, he was always fun, and so supportive of Pars for Paws. We loved his dry sense of humor. May good memories help you through this difficult time.

When we were younger, Lynn and Tami were neighbors of mine in Argos.
I recall one day in particular. Lynn was crossing the street from the park when he was struck by a car. The impact sent Lynn sliding down the pavement for several feet. While I’m sure that he was scraped, bruised and scared, he was able to walk away from the scene.
I also remember Lynn liking sports. I played a lot of softball, some basketball and a little football with him in our younger years.
Reading the many condolences it’s easy to see how well Lynn was liked.
Tami and Mrs. Couch, please accept my deepest sympathies on Lynn’s passing.

Thank you so much Chris. I remember hearing about the car accident and I know I was there when it happened but do not recall seeing the car hit him or him sliding down the road. Lynn will forever missed.
