Robert D. Pranger Jr.

Robert D. Pranger Jr., 53, passed away while traveling through Laredo, Texas as a career truck driver making a long haul. Bobby as he was known found peace on the open road seeing the country for the past 20 years.
He was born the son of Robert D. and Doris Faye (Davenport) Pranger Sr. on August 18, 1964 in Plymouth. Bobby was a 1982 graduate of Plymouth High School and then attended Ivy Tech to study Mechanical Engineering. After working with his father in the Pranger Auto Salvage he began his career in trucking. He currently worked for PGT Trucking based in Gary, Indiana.
He enjoyed the game of golf at Plymouth Rock now Woodbury Golf Course, camping, cookouts, paintballing but no greater joy came with spending time with family and sharing his love of Christmas with all.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife Patricia J. (Kibodeaux) Pranger whom he married on June 4, 2005 in Plymouth and six children and families. They are: Amanda L. (Jeremie) Himes of Plymouth and children Keiara and MacKenzie, Cody J. (Annie) Drevecky of North Liberty and children Lilyan and Monroe, Daniel R. Pranger Sr. of Argos and children Elizabeth, Daniel Jr. and Abigail, Christopher J. Pranger (Daniel’s twin) of Argos, Candice M. Pranger of Plymouth and Cheyanne R. Schwertner of Plymouth. He is also survived by siblings Richard D. (Lisa) Pranger of Plymouth and Renee D. Pranger of Koontz Lake, Indiana along with many nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death were his parents.
A family graveside service in New Oak Hill Cemetery in Plymouth is being planned.
A noon cookout is planned for Saturday September 9th at the home of his son Chris, 10847 14 C Rd. Argos, Indiana 46501 with family and friends. If people wish to bring something to grill or a side feel free to, that would be greatly appreciated. Bobby enjoyed cookouts and yard games so this will be a good way to celebrate his life.
