Robert E. Powers, 80, passed away in his home Wednesday morning, November 14, 2018.
Born in Bremen, Indiana on March 8, 1938, Robert was the son of Clayton and Edna (McVey) Powers. He graduated from LaPaz High School with the class of 1956.
On May 12, 1973 in Plymouth, Robert took JoAnn Wicks to be his wife. Together they shared 45 wonderful years together.
Robert served for our country in the Army National Guard.
He worked for the Independent News in Walkerton as a printer-typesetter and linotype. He would retire in 1995.
Robert is survived by his wife, JoAnn of LaPaz.
He was preceded in death by his son, Paul C. Powers in 1994.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 from 11-1 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Evan Garber officiating.
Burial will be in the New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.
