Robert H. Wenino

December 30, 1924 - July 23, 2009
In Memorial

Robert H. Wenino, 84, living for the past 34 years at 10107 Carriage Drive, Plymouth, died in Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth, from a cancer related illness, at 12:45 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2009.
Robert was born on Dec. 30, 1924, in Chicago, ILL. He was the son of Harry E. and Marie E. (Dehner) Wenino. The family resided in Milwaukee and Sheboygan Wis. before moving to Champagne, Ill and finally Plymouth where he graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1943.
During World War II, Robert, a member of the United States Marine Corps., was stationed in China.
On Nov. 6, 1949, in Monticello, IN., Robert and Beverly D. Lintner were married.
He worked in the Bendix Corp.’s production of aviation products for over 44 years.
A true outdoorsman, Robert was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved gardening and enjoyed auto racing events along with his son Michael, who together attended the Indianapolis 500 for 40 years. The family enjoyed summer trips into the Michigan Upper Peninsula. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Faith and Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #741 in Plymouth.
Robert is survived by Beverly, his loving wife of almost 61 years, along with his son, Michael of Plymouth and two daughters: Ricki ( James) McFarlin, Ligonier, IN., and Sherry Lynn Moore, Taylorville, N.C.
Four grandchildren survive, together with a brother and sister-in-law, Louis and Betty Wenino, Plymouth, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother and sister-in-law, Richard C. and Bona Wenino.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services will follow visitation at 2 p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home. The Rev. Father William Kummer, pastor of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorial gifts in Robert’s memory may be made to Mooseheart Child City & School, Mooseheart, Illinois, 60539.
