Robert Joseph Budzius

February 23, 1942 - May 20, 2017

Robert “Bob” Joseph Budzius, 75, formerly a thirty-three year resident of St. John, Indiana and currently a thirteen year resident of Culver, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 20, 2017 in the Miller’s Merry Manor – Culver, Indiana.
Bob was born February 23, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Andrew and Stella (Pavilanis) Budzius.
He graduated from Fenger High School in 1961. He then went on to serve in the United States Air Force from 1963 until he was honorably discharged in 1965.
Bob married Ginger Crulich on November 2, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois; and she survives.
He retired in 2003 after thirty-seven years of service from the Ford Motor Company; where he was an Asset Protection Officer.
Bob was a member of the St. Mary’s of the Lake Catholic Church, Culver, and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed going on many fishing trips with his sons and yearly vacations to Minnesota and Wisconsin with his grandchildren and close extended family.
Surviving is his wife; Ginger of Culver, two sons; David (Anne) Budzius of Chesterton, and Brett (Mindy) Budzius of Minnestrista, Minnesota. Also surviving are his five wonderful grandchildren; Andrew, Robert, Katie, Anika, and Bridget Budzius.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 North Michigan Street, Plymouth, Indiana 46563, with a Rosary service being recited at 5:00 PM at the funeral home. Visitation will continue from 10:00 AM until time of Mass on Wednesday at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at the St. Mary’s of the Lake Catholic Church, 124 College Avenue, Culver, Indiana, 46511, with Father Glenn Kohrman officiating.
Burial will follow in the Culver Masonic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Center for Hospice, 112 South Center Street, Suite C, Plymouth, Indiana 46563.
