Robert L. Schultz

Robert L. Schultz, 88, was ushered into the arms of his Savior on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.

He was born on February 17, 1937, in Marshfield, Wisconsin, and was the son of Ervin and Estelle (McCann) Schultz.

Robert attended Apostolic Bible Institute in St. Paul, Minnesota. On June 15, 1974, he married Bernadene Corey at Sunrise Chapel in Plymouth, IN. He came to Plymouth, IN in 1960 as the Assistant Pastor, and served as the Senior Pastor from 1976-1986 at the House of Prayer.

Robert had a Pastor’s heart, caring for many and always willing to help and making himself available for those in need. He also had a creative touch when it came to interior decorating the rental properties that he owned, making sure every detail was covered and it was coordinated. Robert loved the outdoors and spending time in nature… and he might find a place to fish while walking through the woods.

He is survived by his wife Bernadene of Plymouth; son Steven and wife Erin Schultz of Dayton, OH; and his grandchildren: Sydney, Jack and Katie Schultz.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Judy Rydberg, son Kevin Schultz; sisters: Geraldine, Betty, Elaine and Delores.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 12-1 pm at the House of Prayer, 12450 Plymouth Goshen Trail, Plymouth, IN 46563. Services will immediately follow at 1 pm.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made to the church.
