Roger A. Sickmiller, 76, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026 at his home. Born on July 22, 1949 at Parkview Hospital in Plymouth, Roger was the son of Wilbur and Maria (Costintino) Sickmiller.

A proud graduate of Plymouth High School in 1968, Roger married his childhood sweetheart, Patsy Behnke, on October 19, 1968 at Plymouth Sunrise Chapel. Their love story began with an engagement just eleven days after their first date. They had three children, Lisa, Steve and Christina and their hearts grew even more as they welcomed their grandchildren. Roger will be remembered by his grandchildren as having an endless supply of Tootsie Pops and being the go-to fist bumper when saying goodbye.

Roger held a dedicated career as a truck driver and was known by the CB handle, “Jolly Roger.” He drove for various companies throughout the years including Schneider Transportation, driving team for 12 years, and retiring in 2007 from Evans Equipment. Roger was a proud member of the Teamster Local Union 543. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work and always providing for his family.

In the rare free time Roger had, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He liked watching Emergency! in the evenings and NASCAR or football anytime it was on.

Roger is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patsy; children, Lisa (Chuck) Hite, Steve Sickmiller, and Christina (Adam) Burns; grandchildren, Brittany, Vanessa, Angie, Devin, Megan, Sky, Hunter, and Brooklyn; great-grandchildren, David, Timothy, Shelby, Mason, Jacob, Adam, Landon, Ethan, Archie, and Millie; along with his sisters, Connie Davis and Mary Sickmiller.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Maria; siblings, Carol Hattery and Sandro Sickmiller; and his grandchildren, Tracy and Jessie.
