Ronald Clark Heeter

June 7, 1955 - March 30, 2019

Ronald Clark Heeter, 63, formerly of Largo, FL, passed away in his daughters’ home in South Bend, IN, on Saturday, March 30, 2019. Ron was born in Fort Morgan CO. to William Haines Heeter and Norma Lorraine (Brown) Heeter. Ron traveled most of his life and settled down in retirement years in Florida. He loved to volunteer, especially with Beach Goes Pops, a yearly event dedicated to a full day of surf, sand, and music! Ron was especially fond of his family, spending as much time as possible with them. He gave everyone he loved a hard time and a unique nickname. Ron spent plenty of time meticulously decorating and caring for his home, taking pride in his work. Those left to mourn his passing are his mother Norma Heeter, recently of Bourbon, IN. priorly of Austin, TX; his four loving children Lee Christopher Heeter and his husband William Francis Register of New York, NY, Shannon and her husband Shane Richardson of Katy, TX, Emily Southern and her partner Terri McGregor of Vernon, MI, and Amanda and her husband Jon Rightsell of Plymouth, IN; Grandchildren Zoe L. Heeter, Brock J. Biddle, Kitai E. Rightsell, Phoenix R. Rightsell, Austin S. Richardson, Devan B. McGregor, Aunna G. McGregor, Brendann J. McGregor, Maeghan N. McGregor, Emma K. McGregor, and Ava R. McGregor; his brother William and his wife Kris Heeter of Tomball, TX, and many other relatives and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father William Heeter and his brother Donald M. Heeter. Those wishing to send flowers may do so to Norma Heeter at Wamplers Care Center at 305 E North St. Bourbon, Indiana 46504; memorial donations in Ron’s name to the Center for Hospice at 111 Sunnybrook Court South Bend, Indiana 46637. At Ron’s request, no services are planned at this time.
