Ronald “Ron” Denney, 74, of 13349 Hickory Road, Argos, died of natural causes at 2:15 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2010, in the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.
Ron was born on October, 10, 1935, in Argos, IN. He was the son of Joseph and Cora Yeazel Denny.
He attended Richland Center and Plymouth schools.
On Sept. 1, 1956, in Nappanee, IN., Ron and Wanetta Young were married.
After 18 years, Ron retired from the Reynolds Mill in Bourbon.
He enjoyed politics, fishing, yard work and sports, especially baseball and Nascar racing. He kept fit by walking every day.
Ron is survived by his wife, Wanetta and by a daughter Shelley (Kris) Mikkelborg, Silverdale, Wash. Also surviving are three grandchildren: Quin Lozier., Argos: Sierra and Brandon Mikkelborg both of Silverdale, Wash.
A great-granddaughter, Kyrie Lozier, Argos, also survives, together with three sisters, Barbara Stouder, Nappanee, Sue (Dave) Ferris, Osceola, IN., and Lonna Henry, Plymouth.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jack Runyan and a sister, Charmaine Hatfield.
Friends are invited to share their memories with Ron’s family at the Graveside services Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 1:00 pm in the New Oakhill Cemetery.
