
Rosemarie Campbell (Nelson), 95, of Plymouth Indiana passed away at 11:30 p.m. on January 31, 2023 in Plymouth. Rose was born on September 18, 1927 to Walter John and Stella May (Fletcher) Nelson.
Rose loved to plant and tend to her flowers, especially irises. She decorated for every holiday and enjoyed making handmade sweatshirts at Christmas. She thoroughly enjoyed her time going out for coffee and donuts or playing cards with her siblings and any other family or friends who would join them. She was a lifelong fan of IU basketball and dachshunds.
Rose is survived by her sons Craig (JoEllen) of Indianapolis, Kevin of Auburn and Kent (Lisa) of Plymouth. Grandchildren; Christopher (Sophie) Campbell of Indianapolis, Erin (Mark) Duquaine of Fishers and David (Angela) Campbell of Indianapolis. Keegan (Elizabeth) Campbell of Plymouth. Alicia (Kenny) Bachtel of Plymouth. Great Grandchildren; Kya, Jack of Indianapolis. Hannah, Samuel, Leah, Ian, Stella, Emma Duquaine of Fishers. Ryan, Allie Campbell of Indianapolis. Porter, Everett, Ingrid Campbell of Plymouth. Kara, Charley, Miles Bachtel of Plymouth. Sister-in-law Darlene Brundige as well as many nieces and nephews.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Wayne on May 6, 1988; her parents; siblings Wayne (Mildred) Nelson, Wendell (Treva) Nelson, Mary (Harry) Girten, Gordon Nelson, Joan (Fred) Wolff, Helen “Mick” Nelson and James Nelson.
Private burial will be at New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.
A celebration of life will be held for Rose on Saturday, May 6, 2023.

Rosemarie was a “worker”. Her flower beds were always pristine. Her irises were “a beauty for the eye to behold” with so many varieties. They were all marked with little signs, so you could see their names. She kept her vegetable garden the same way.
