
Ruth E. Fox, 81, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021 at Life Care Center, Rochester.
Born on October 11, 1940 in Knox, Indiana she was the daughter of Eugene and Viola (Perry) Smith. She attended Knox High School graduating with the class of 1959.
Although she already knew this great man named Kenneth from attending St. Anne’s Catholic Church, he decided to knock on her door one day and asked her on a date. The rest was history and they were married on June 3, 1967 at St. Anne’s.
Ruth worked for Heart Shaffner and Marx Clothing Store in Rochester for 4 years and Wagner Wire in Plymouth for 5 years. Most of her life she was beloved housewife taking care of their 4 wonderful children. She loved to cook, and the family would tell you that her meatloaf was their favorite. Ruth also loved to bake especially cookies during the Christmas season.
She left a loving legacy always instilling to be kind and a good person that you came across. Ruth loved her family, the church and they loved her with all of their heart.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth of Plymouth; children: Michelle (Sam) Golden of Argos; Kevin (Tania) Fox of Knox; Keith Fox of Plymouth; Jennifer (James) Bond of Plymouth; siblings: Margaret Bradley of Indianapolis, IN; Richard (Nancy) Smith of Monterey; Catherine (Phil) Mueller of Tinley Park, ILL; Glen Smith of Noblesville, IN; grandchildren: Missy Golden, Matthew Golden, Tyler Fox; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents and sister Maxine Smith.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, from 4-7 p.m. at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth. A Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at St. Michael Church, 611 N. Center, Plymouth with Fr. Spenser St. Louis officiating.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Michael Church, 612 N. Walnut Street, Plymouth.
