Sargio “Sarge” Canarini

July 11, 1935 - April 7, 2009

Sargio “Sarge” Canarini, Knox, IN, died in Starke County Memorial Hospital of natural causes.
Sarge was born in Des Moines, IA to Sergio Canarini and Emma Juscik (Purzell).
He graduated from Hammond Tech High School.
He married longtime companion, Debby Potocki on January 22, 2009.
Sarge was an engineer on the EJ&E Railroad, retiring in 1995.
He loved the water and was an avid boater, fisherman and swimmer.
Sarge is survived by his wife, Debby, three children and a step-son. Daughter, Lynette Canarini, Fountain Hills, AZ, and her three children: Brandon Davis, Shaun (Bobbi) Davis and their son, Leighton, and Brett Davis; Son, Sargio (LaDawn)Canarini, Lowell, IN., and his three children, Sargio (Becky) Canarini and their son, Sargio, Joshua Canarini, and Shanna Canarini; Daughter, Tara (Dennis) Gentry, Roselawn, IN, and her two children, Tiffany (Steve Nugent) Hunley and her daughter (Aireus), Johnny (Jen) Hunley and their daughter, Cali; Step-son, Travis Pitchford, Crown Point, IN; Mother, Emma (Nick) Juscik, Merrillville, IN; Brother, Steve (Renee) Juscik, Schererville, IN, and their son, Jimmy.
Sarge was preceded in death by his father and brother, Monte Canarini.
A private family memorial will be held Saturday April 11, 2009 at 1 pm.
Memorial gifts in Sarge’s memory may be made to the Goshen Care House.
