Shirley R (Alliss) Lake, 78, died at 6:10 p.m. in Miller’s Merry Manor, 320 W. Main St., Warsaw, IN. on Monday , October 12, 2009.
Born in Rochester, IN., on September 14, 1931, Shirley was the daughter of George S. and Vera L. (Miller) Alliss.
Shirley graduated attended Plymouth High School. She is survived by two daughters: Mindy Lake Beland, Goshen, IN. and Laura (Brian) Wilson and their daughter, Claire Renee Wilson, Wheat Ridge, CO.
Three sisters and a brother also survive. The sisters are Mary Knowles, Grand Tower, ILL.: Virginia (Ernest) Rowe, Plymouth, IN.: Janet (Robert) Lortie, Ligonier, IN.: and Roger (Carol) Alliss, Frankfort, IL.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Dale, George and Bennett Alliss.
Services, officiated by the Rev. Gary Boschain, pastor of the First Christian Church, Warsaw, will be held in the New Oakhill Cemetery Chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October, 15, 2009.
Memorial gifts in Shirley’s name may be made to the First Christian Church, Warsaw, or to the Kosciusko County Hospice.
