
Sr. Longinia Pobiedzinski PHJC, 98, of Donaldson, passed away at 7:40 a.m. on Monday, October 8, 2012 in the Catherine Kasper Life Center on the grounds of Ancilla Domini.
She was born in Mishawaka, Indiana on April 27, 1914, the daughter of Casmir and Sabina (Beranowski) Pobiedzinski.
Sr. Longinia holds a master’s degree in Classical Languages. She entered the convent on December 7, 1930 and professed her vows on June 25, 1933. Her life ministry was education.
Surviving is one sister-in-law, Edith Runnerson and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Sister in death were her brother, Marion Runnerson and three sisters; Lonnie Leffingwell, Eve Houston and Anne Johnson.
Visitation will be held in the Catherine Kasper Chapel, 9601 Union Road, in Donaldson on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 from 4:30 – 8:30 p.m. EDT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Catherine Kasper Chapel, at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday.
Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery at Ancilla Domini.

I enjoyed working with Sister during the many holy week liturgies at Ancilla during the early 90\’s — she was very competent and very good at her work — She certainly deserves her heavenly reward. Rest in peace Sister!
