Stanley E. Kalin, Jr.

Former Plymouth resident Stanley E. Kalin, Jr., 54, Fireside Drive, Goshen, Ind., died at 10:53 a.m. on Sunday, May 28, 2000, in Elkhart General Hospital, Elkhart, Ind.

Stan was born the son of Stanley E. Sr., and Gertrude M. Ruhnow Kalin on July 1, 1945, in Hutchinson, Kansas.  A 1963 graduate of Plymouth High School, he also earned a Master’s Degree in Business.

He served for four years in the United States Air Force.

On June 10, 1967, in Plymouth, Stan and Carol E. Miller were married.

The owner and operator of Aero Plastics and Designs in Three Rivers, Mich., Stan had many hobbies and interests.  He enjoyed fishing and woodworking and loved his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Carol and by their two daughters and their families.  They are: Marcie and John Thompson of Mishawaka and their daughter, Alexandria and Christine and Greg Himes, Marcellus, Mich., and their children Nicole, Jeffrey, Olivia, Brook and Caroline.

Stan’s mother, Gertrude M. Kalin of Plymouth also survives along with his siblings:  three sisters, Kathryn and Barry Richmond, Nineveh, Ind., Dianne and Jerry Nettrouer, Plymouth, Carol and Larry Rodriquez, Mishawaka.  Three brothers survive as well: Bill Kalin, Marion, Ind., David and Mike Kalin, both of New Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation for Stan will be on Wednesday, May 31, 2000, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.

Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. Charles Krieg, pastor of the Pretty Lake United Methodist Church, will be in the funeral home on Thursday, June 1, 2000, at 11 a.m.

Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos.
