Sylvia Mae Pfeiffer

January 6, 1931 - March 21, 2022

Sylvia M. Pfeiffer, 91, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.

Born on January 6, 1931 in Logansport, Indiana to Elrah and Maudie (Taylor) Smith. On Valentine’s Day in 1993 she married DeVon Pfeiffer, he preceded her in death on May 25, 1996.

Sylvia was known as a hard worker, who gave endlessly as a nurse’s aide for Pilgrim Manor Nursing home for 40 years, retiring in 2009. She was known a very reserved, loving mother who was an excellent provider for her family and instilled to live by the “Golden Rule” as treat other’s as you would want them to treat you.

She enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls and anything that had Coca-Cola name on it. Sylvia was a spiritual woman who faithfully attended Shiloh Wesleyan Church in Bremen and often listened to Gospel quartet music.

She is survived by her children: Marilyn Mustain of Otis, CO; Peggy (Sam) Fisher of Bremen; Larry (Angela) Snyder of Plymouth; Ron (Lindy) Snyder of Plymouth; Brenda Clark and John Kiszkan of Warsaw; sister Essie Hull of Plymouth; 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Slyvia was preceded in death by her parents, huband DeVon, brothers: Walter and Willard.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 from 11 to 1 pm at Shiloh Wesleyan Church, 10532 4B Rd. Bremen, IN 46506. Funeral services with immediately follow with Pastor Rich Van Vuren officiating.

Burial will take place at the New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.

Memorial contributions can be made to Shiloh Wesleyan Church, 10532 4B Rd. Bremen, IN 46506.

    Sorry to hear of Sylvia’s passing.I have had the pleasure of being acquainted with Sylvia Sylvia was always a kind considerate woman,whom I thought highly of her.I will pray for each and everyone during this difficult time for our wonderful God to comfort all of you.I am one of Sam’s sisters Peggy’s sister in law.

    Was so sorry to hear that Slyvia’s passing
    She would stop in and see my mother at the nursing home. And cheer my mom up. Slyvia was good at cheering people up. She had a way about her, that people just felt the love that came through,

    I worked with Sylvia for many years at Pilgrim Manor. She was so sweet to her residents & did a very thorough job. I have thought of her & Essie a lot since leaving the Manor.
