Terra L. Minix

Terra L. Minix, 53, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2026, at Northwest Hospital in Knox, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on September 21, 1973, in South Bend, Indiana, to Douglas Bunton and Barbara Dunlap. Terra graduated from Plymouth High School with the class of 1993. On August 7, 2003, she married Gary Minix Jr. at the House of the Lord in Plymouth.

Terra was laid-back and always upbeat, and she never needed anything lavish to be happy. She especially enjoyed date nights with her husband, including karaoke nights. Camping, boating, and spending time in nature created treasured memories. She also found great joy in having her nieces stay for weeks at a time during the summer, treating them to shopping trips and days at the pool.

Terra is survived by her husband, Gary L. Minix Jr.; her son, Devin; her parents, Barbara (Gary) Dunlap and Douglas (Glenna) Bunton; her siblings, Brett (Stephanie) Bunton, Jason (Jessica) Dunlap, Chris (Angela) Dunlap, Brandon Dunlap, Keith (Lisa) Clevenger, Tracy McDaniel, and Andrea (Kyle) Schoof; her in-laws, Bonnie and Gary Minix Sr.; her stepchildren, Tyler Minix and Allison (Michael) Wilcox; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ora Eldon and Faye Metcalf and Warren and Martha Bunton, and her stepson, Gary Minix III.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October, 26, 2026, from 12- 2 p.m. at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN 46563. Funeral services will immediately follow.

Burial will take place in Crown Hill Cemetery, Knox.
