
Thelma Jeanne Ringer, 92, of Lakeville, Indiana, passed away at 2:50 pm on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth, Indiana.
On December 27, 1930, she was born in Culver, Indiana to Millard Carl Finney and Blanche (Cromley) Finney. Thelma was a graduate of Culver High School, Class of 1948. She was united in marriage to Harold “Hank” Ringer on June 13, 1948. He preceded her in death on March 9, 2009.
Thelma was a lifetime resident of Lakeville, where she was a homemaker and she worked in the office of Trustcorp Mortgage Company. She attended Calvary Baptist Church, LaPaz then Community Baptist Church, South Bend. She enjoyed cooking, chicken noodles, reading and crosswords. She also enjoyed traveling to Florida, working in the yard and bird watching.
She is survived by two children, Joyce (Raymond) Beja, Bremen, and Mark (Sheryl) Ringer, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Korrine, Aron, Ryan and Spouse Allison, Derek and spouse Christina, Josh and eleven great grandchildren. Thelma is also preceded in death by her parents; son, Eric Ringer (2014); two brothers, Millard “Bud” Finney, Doren “Pat” Finney and three sisters, Lola “Judy” Marriott, Lila “Tootsie” Fenimore and Betty Dering.
A visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 North Michigan Street, Plymouth, Indiana 46563. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 24, 2023, in Oak Hill Cemetery, 124 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, Indiana 46563.
