Theresa K. Kulb, 65, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 23, 2025, in Peoria.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Downs, with Rev. Dustin Schultz officiating. Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Thursday, June 26, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home in Bloomington. An additional visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home in Plymouth, Indiana, followed by a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Theresa was born on September 28, 1959, in Oceanside, California, to David John Kindt and Nancy Jayne (Thomas) Kindt. She married the love of her life, Thomas B. Kulb, on September 4, 1985, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Dr. Thomas B. Kulb of Bloomington; their two children, David and Athena Kulb, her father, David Kindt, and five siblings: John (Kathleen) Kindt, Daniel Kindt, Ann (Michael) Brumley, Michael Kindt and Mary Patricia Kindt. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews — as well as her beloved dogs, K, Pete, and Violet.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Jayne Kindt.

Theresa earned her BSN from Ball State University and her MSN from Bradley University. She later served in the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps. Her career highlights included working as Director of the Operating Room at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center and as a consultant for Kimberly Clark.

Theresa’s deep love for animals was woven into every part of her life. Her many cats held a permanent place in her heart. She also had a special bond with dogs—particularly the spirited and intelligent Belgian Malinois. Theresa was known for her dedication to training and trialing her dogs in both agility and tracking competitions. She achieved exceptional success in all agility classes of competition, as two of her dogs ascended to the rank of the AKC Agility Grand Champion.

Theresa’s famous potted plants reflected her attention to beauty and detail. She also found joy in bowling with close friends and cheering on her beloved Notre Dame teams with unwavering spirit. Theresa lived with passion, purpose, and an open heart.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Belgian Malinois Rescue (www.malinoisrescue.org), an organization through which Theresa dedicated many years of volunteer work.
